Biography: Matt Jordan |

Matthew R. Jordan was born to Mark and Renee' (Dover) Jordan on
December 12, 1990. He was the firstborn to the Jordan family, being
delivered at his parent's workplace of Akron General Medical Center in
Akron, Ohio. He followed by his middle brother, David J. Jordan, on
December 31, 1993. Andrew M. Jordan finished the line on August 20,
1996. Growing up, Matt lived in the small, rural community of Suffield, Ohio with the family. Matt attended Suffield Elementary School, followed by Field Junior and Senior High Schools. While in school, Matt joined into a variety of different programs and activities. One of which was Boy Scouts, where he began as a Tiger Cub in Kindergarten and advanced to his Eagle by the summer of 2007. Some other noted activites for high school include: Spanish Club, the National Honors Society (elected President his senior year), and Student Council. In addition to having a strong academic background and graduating 4th in his class of around 170, Matt had a special drive for running. He joined the school's cross-country and track teams as a middle school student, advancing to varsity in his freshman year of high school and earned a variaty of awards for his performances both on and off the athletic fields. He also spent most of his time in high school working as a lifeguard during the summers at Lake Kim Tam Park in Uniontown, Ohio and continues to. Along with lifeguarding, Matt volunteers his time at Akron Children's Hospital in their Outpatient Pharmacy. To begin the college experience, Matt started off as a PSEOP (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program) student at The University of Akron, taking basic core classes to fulfill high school graduation requirements and earn college credits. Upon graduating from Field High School in the summer of 2009, Matt chose to attend Chicago State University. While here, Matt began his chase for his bachleors in chemistry with a biochemistry minor. The final goal is to take the degree to a pharmacy school and earn a PharmD (Doctorate of Pharmacy). Currently, Matt is a junior, bouncing back and forth between the city life of Chicago and the country life of Suffield. With the dreams of his degree, the recognicion of the series, and the thrills of running collegiately burning brightly in him, Matt continues to write his own story every day. |
