In a few brief months, four names became well known to the people of a world known as New Earth. News of the defeat of Glendor, chief of the planet's adversaries, at the hands of these four boys, spread across the lands in a whirlwind. Day by day, the world's governments began to rebuild and reform. Matt Reynolds, Mike Henderson, Alex Smith, and John Wilson became the heroes they were chosen to be. 

Over a year has passed since their fateful arrival. With no word from their allies in New Earth, the foursome trudges through a particularly earthly year of junior high and wonder what is to come next. Their worries are quenched by trepidation when they become trapped in the midst of a fierce struggle between the cities seeking to form an alliance and the Human Paragon, which refuses to let this union happen. Both sides have a new agenda, a new army, and strong will to obliterate the other. Without unity, New Earth will again sink into the dusky terror in which the boys found it. It's up to them to lead the charge against the hostile Human Paragon once again.
